Yogurt cups are usually injection molded. In the production process of yogurt cups, the most commonly used material is high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic. The production process includes the following steps: raw material preparation, injection molding, surface treatment, disinfection and cleaning, and packaging. Injection molding is to inject heated and melted plastic into a mold, and solidify it through the opening and closing of the mold and pressure to form the shape of the yogurt cup.

In contrast, blister molding is a process in which a plastic sheet is heated and softened and then sucked into various shapes with a mold. Although blister molding can also be used to make containers, its characteristics and application scenarios are different from injection molding. Blister molding is more used to make flat or simple three-dimensional products such as packaging boxes and display boxes, while injection molding is more suitable for making containers with complex shapes.
